Cupping therapy is a form of alternative medicine in which cups are placed on the skin to create suction. The cups can be made of a variety of materials, including: Glass / Silicone / Bamboo / or Earthenware.
Cupping combines the ancient traditions of Asian medicine and key fascia-releasing techniques of today. Accomplished through “Negative” or Reverse pressure, the silicone cups are applied generating a suction that lifts skin tissue to effectively reduce inflammation, improve blood circulation, system, relieve muscle & joint pain, fibromyalgia, and is also an effective tool for relieving trigger points and an exceptional treatment for dealing with scars. Cupping therapy dates back to ancient Egyptian, Chinese, and Middle Eastern cultures. One of the oldest medical textbooks in the world, the Ebers Papyrus, describes how the ancient Egyptians were using cupping therapy in 1,550 B.C.
